We have to hand it to Wolf King: they’re certainly doing a good job making their new gaming keyboard, the Warrior XXtreme, look as unique as possible. The Warrior XXtreme has what one might call unconventional layout: instead of the standard QWERTY with a few macro buttons like its numerous competitors, the Warrior XXtreme has two circular button arrangements, meant to enhance the gamer’s gaming skills without compromising his or her normal computer activities. On the left side of the keyboard are the gaming buttons, in the WASD arrangement that’s become the unofficial standard of FPSes, while the right side features a full array of keys for standard operation.
As this review on laptopmag.com points out however, putting your standard keyboard keys in a circle makes using them a bit of a nightmare, and we have to wonder why Wolf King didn’t opt for a half and half (half circular, half standard) arrangement instead, to combine the best of both worlds.Permanent Link
